Patience is a virtue

We all need to be taking lessons from photographers like Miss Jasmine Star. She sets out to give advice to people growing and trying to make a living in a industry that has an abundance of people trying to all do the same thing. What people arent getting is that its important to be yourself. If your not yourself and your trying to be like other photographers in your area, or trying to be different from them. You are denying yourself and suffocating your true talent. We need to love each other. Help each other. Lend each other a hand. Not say negative things about your peers behind their backs because you fear that they are taking your potential clients.

I know that it can be discouraging at time. I have been upset many, many times.
Especially with me being from a different area. Ok check this out. I am from Baltimore, MD. I am coming from a huge city to a very small town. Everyone has their "clicks". Their either friends, family, or it has something to do with politics. I have sat down at times saying to myself  "do you really think that you can compete with that?"
Its not about the talent.
Its about the patience.
I need to learn more of that.
I know that I have the talent. I have a love for what it is that I do. I have a passion for it.
I set out during each individual shoot to do the best, be creative, and having the people in front of my camera comfortable.

I know at one time or another that some photographers may fall off of the bandwagon.
I know this is what I love. I am so happy with what I do. I know that when I hand over a CD with images on it, or prints, that I put my heart and soul into preserving someones happy moment.

Todays thought.
Love yourself, have confidence in what you do, and make sure that you have lots and lots of Patience!!
