Love Note from a Non-Romantic Man.

I woke up this morning to find the most beautiful note left on the kitchen counter.
I won't share it all but one of the sweet things in it said, "If everyone on earth tried as hard as you to become a better person the world would be an amazing place".

This is coming from a man that is not romantic at all.
We've struggled with the setimental aspect in our marriage as far as being unique and thoughtful.
Its times like this that I get to remember exactly why I married my husband.

We've had our hardships and have battle alot in the past three years.
I am so thankful that God put him into my life.
He gave me the most wonderful gift. Channing.

Dear Ralph,
You amaze me with your thoughfulness. You are an amazing father. Sometimes you care about pleasing others too much, I know that is just a reflection of your character. You are truely ONE OF A KIND :)
I respect you for how much you love your Dad. I think its sweet. I look up to you for giving my son what I never had. I want to make you happy. I am thankful that you are finishing out "The Love Dare" book with me. It means alot. Thank you for being you.

Channing @ 18 months sleeping in his toddler bed!

What a blessing!!! Oh my goodness.
I kept trying to lay him down, and lay him down but he was just not having it. Hes a very active and excited little boy so when hes not in his crib-its play time!
So I held him in my arms for a minute, kissed him, and layed him down in hopes that he would just fall asleep.
I shut his bedroom door. I could hear his little feet plant right on the floor. He scattered around in his room for about two minutes. I could even hear him with a few toys.
After about five minutes it was silent! I gave it about ten minutes before I opened the door to check on him. There he was like a little angel. He had his bottle half way hanging out of him mouth. He was totally pasted out!
How cool is that!?! I knew it was going to take some time. I hoped in about a week or two that he would figure out that was where he was suppose to sleep.
Here is apictures of my beautiful boy sleeping in his toddler bed for the first time when he is just 18 months old!

Happy Weds guys!
Hope its a good one!

Hand crafted CD cases.

I've always loved doing crafts.
As a photographer I never realized that I should be making my own CD cases. What the heck took me so long. I am just loving the outcome.
Every time I sit down and make one of these cases I cannot help but be so proud when I get to slide that CD into it!
I take pride in my clients and want them to have the very best. They are important to me and worth taking the time to make sure that is reflected in what I hand them.

Its amazing what a little imagination and creativity can do.

Hope you enjoy.

P.S People will love you for being you.

Toddler Beds....yikes!!

Ok so I decided it was an awesome idea to redesign Channings room. New carpet, new furniture. This is going to be a hit transition from Nursery to "Big boy room".
So that ment that I was going to attempt to take Chan out of the crib and put him into a toddler bed.
Poor thing wasnt having it, so I suppose that I am going to have to ease him into sleeping in his big boy bed. Naps, naps, naps.
Hopefully over the next couple of days we will see a shift in his willingness to stay in his new resting ground.
Good thing for me- I was smart enough to leave the crib still assembled and all this Mommy had to do was put the mattress back into his crib.
GENIUS
Just kidding. I wish!

Patience is a virtue

We all need to be taking lessons from photographers like Miss Jasmine Star. She sets out to give advice to people growing and trying to make a living in a industry that has an abundance of people trying to all do the same thing. What people arent getting is that its important to be yourself. If your not yourself and your trying to be like other photographers in your area, or trying to be different from them. You are denying yourself and suffocating your true talent. We need to love each other. Help each other. Lend each other a hand. Not say negative things about your peers behind their backs because you fear that they are taking your potential clients.

I know that it can be discouraging at time. I have been upset many, many times.
Especially with me being from a different area. Ok check this out. I am from Baltimore, MD. I am coming from a huge city to a very small town. Everyone has their "clicks". Their either friends, family, or it has something to do with politics. I have sat down at times saying to myself  "do you really think that you can compete with that?"
Its not about the talent.
Its about the patience.
I need to learn more of that.
I know that I have the talent. I have a love for what it is that I do. I have a passion for it.
I set out during each individual shoot to do the best, be creative, and having the people in front of my camera comfortable.

I know at one time or another that some photographers may fall off of the bandwagon.
I know this is what I love. I am so happy with what I do. I know that when I hand over a CD with images on it, or prints, that I put my heart and soul into preserving someones happy moment.

Todays thought.
Love yourself, have confidence in what you do, and make sure that you have lots and lots of Patience!!

Story Time at the Library

My Channing absolutely loves story time. Its every friday at 10:oo.
First we all sing songs together. Channings favorite has to be "If your happy and you know it". He is really starting to get the hang of the 'clap your hangs...pull your ear....raise your hand.....smile....'
Then its time for Mrs. Betty to read us our books. Which usually includes about three super fun books.
I have to be honest though. I look around and see all these sweet little babies sitting on their Mommies laps. On the other hand, my kisa running around like hes got a fire under his butt. He never sits still. I swear hes not ADHD or anything. Hes just a very active and healthy boy. I suppose any kid that actually is 100% walking at eight months has to have a little extra energy. Im just hoping that he learns to channel it nicely.

Ok im way off topic! Back to Story Time and away from explaining a few reasons why I am so exhausted and is glad to be only 21!!

After our books have been read to us. We get to make a fun craft! Todays craft was a door hanger. Fall themed of course! Surprisingly enough he actually sat long enough to glue all of the leaves onto the tree (one ontop of the other).
I love my kid!!!
Fridays always make me happy.

Such a blessing!
Ending to a great week. The begining of the weekend. If Channing slept in I would say that its the day before the household gets to slept in.

Hahaha sleep in???!!!? Yeah right, if my curtains were strong enough. Channing would totally hang from them!!!

Happy Fall Ya'll!!!!
And Happy Friday!

God Bless

Andrew & Mary Wright

Although it was a torrential downpour & it appeared to be hurricane weather the ceremony had to go on. This incredibly beautiful couple were married in the eyes of God and all of their loved ones on Saturday June 18, 2011. I was completely and totally honored that I was able to photograph this wedding. They both are such beautiful people. Mary was so worried because of how bad it was raining. She had big plans of getting ready over a women named Brenda Suttons house( a women she is extremely close with). BUT God had a good sense of humor on Saturday morning, so she had to get ready in the tiny little children’s Sunday school room. It was pack! With six bridesmaids and five groomsmen. It was a full wedding. It turned out to be a beautiful ceremony, and a beautiful small church wedding. (THERE WAS NOTHING SMALL ABOUT THIS!!---EVERY SEAT WAS TAKEN)

Here are some photos from special day!

Here Mary super excited for her day!
